CHICAGO REVIEW ONLINE ARCHIVE

On the occasion of Chicago Review’s sixtieth anniversary in 2006, Eirik Steinhoff and Kristi McGuire designed this constellation, which presents over eighty pieces accompanied by narrative captions that offer a selective biography of the magazine.

The online anthology is based on the out-of-print Autumn 1996 double-issue edited by David Nicholls (read his intro here). The fifty-some pieces included in the 1996 issue have been supplemented with another thirty of more recent vintage, bringing the story of the magazine up to date.

Follow these links for listings of the contents of back issues of Chicago Review. Some of these issues are still available for sale. Visit our back issue catalog for availability and pricing.
